William Dunbar was stretched out on a bench with his arm over his eyes. To others, he appeared to be sleeping, but he was not. He was just thinking. William had a ton of time on his hands because there had been no classes today because of a big assembly. An observation day. Observation days meant no classes and free time. He had decided to stay outside and soak up some sun. His mother had called him to tell him to make sure that he did not stay inside all day. He had took his mother's advice because he felt that if he did not, she would somehow know. It was like that with his mother. William sighed loudly. He let the noisiness of the courtyard drown out his thoughts.
What was he going to do? His roommate, Charles, was worried about him. To him, William was had "lost his touch". Whenever he got a chance to show that he was better than someone, he did not take it. The only thing he had continued to do was flirt with Yumi. That was only in class though. The other Lyoko Warriors still avoided him. Whenever he got the chance to, William would help them out. Whether it was carrying books or running errands, he did it. He wanted to show them that he could be trusted. He had to show them how loyal he was to them. William sighed again. He still had not come up with anything big to do for them. Zishan had suggested he throw a miniature party for them. William was not one for parties, but if he put his mind to it, he could host a pretty wild party.

Video game time! Time to plop over and play some Final Fantasy on his DS, easy done, maybe beat a few levels. Thank goodness for this day off, he needed it. His brain hurt. Too much school, too many teachers droning on and on and on like their subject was the most important thing ever, and not having Lyoko as a distraction... Well, it made it a little harder. Yeah, okay, it was great that they saved the world from Xana and all that, but he liked messing around in Lyoko.
Maybe they should use it as a theme park, now that the dangerous parts were gone!
Snickering quietly at the idea, Odd made his way over to the usual bench he and his friends commandeered, only to see that... it was already taken. For a moment, he surveyed the resident of the bench, from a little bit away. He guessed that he could use the bench, since he was technically one of them, their wayward warrior... He didn't feel like worrying over the logistics of the whole thing right now, no thank you. But, even if he could use it... He couldn't hog the whole bench!
After all, he wanted to sit there, and even if it meant forcibly kicking him off of the bench, Odd was going to have his seat, no questions asked, and beat his level. Maaaybe two or three. Woo!
Marching over, the spiky-haired teen prodded the older boy's head with his game. "Wiiiiiiiiiilliiiiiiiiiiiiam~" he spoke in a sing-song voice, grinning slightly. "Wake up, sleepy head, and make room for the Oddster!"
Ooh. He actually kind of liked that one. Had to write it down somewhere, maybe he could use it again.

Hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm~
Observation days. She had still yet to really find their purpose, but Aelita did have to admit they were quite enjoyable. She was able to surf the internet, work on some tracks, and code straight, late into the night! (Under her blankets, of course, but still! She didn't have to worry at all about being drowsy in class! Quite a relaxing advent.
So, hair just a touch more of a mess and a poof than usual, and with just a slight skip in her step, Aelita sauntered about campus, blinking just a tad more than normal. Agh, perhaps computering in the dark wasn't quite the healthiest thing for her eyes, she would admit, but it wasn't as if bright sunlight was that much better!
She would have complained to herself mentally for a while longer, had she not spotted Odd, who she immediately waved to with the accompanying greeting of "Odd! Odd, hello!", and making her way towards him. Stopping a little bit short when she saw him sitting with... William. Her eyes narrowed slightly. What was going on here? that was William! The sight of him would never cease to unnerve her. Perhaps it wasn't exactly him that unsettled her, but his body. It was a shell used by X.A.N.A. for such a terrifyingly long and rather horrifying while. Perhaps William wasn't a bad person, really, but in the back of her mind, she could not help but be wary!
And so, she sort of stood there, not quite knowing what do do otherwise.

After a couple of minutes, William found himself sleep. His body translated stress as, "Hey William, you're sleepy!" The boy snored lightly in his sleep. His facial features peaceful and at ease. It was relaxing to be sleep. He did not have to worry about anything. He did not have to think about his fellow Warriors. He did not have to worry about school. Sleep was his escape from everything. Lately, he had not been getting enough of it. He was not dreaming about anything. It was one of those weird kinds of sleep where he was sleep, but he could hear everything around him. William stirred in his sleep as he heard an annoyingly loud voice. A familiar voice. Odd's voice. William groaned and slowly opened his eyes. He did not really appreciate being poked in the head with a video game, but he was not going to go off on Odd. That would only put them even more at odds than they already were. He had to say, he was surprised that Odd didn't try and find another bench to play on. William slowly sat up and removed his from the bench. "Oddster? When'd you come up with that one?" he scoffed. Soon, a yawn escaped from his mouth. He was a little drowsy after Odd rudely poked him out of his sleep. William started to think of other things, like when lunch started.
He wondered if the rest of the gang was coming. If Odd was here, the rest of the gang was bound to arrive. They were all inseparable. They always found each other, unless it was William. They left him on his own. William started to slouch when he heard a girl's voice call out Odd's name. William knew who it was. Aelita. He knew he voice like the back of his hand. The girl always froze when she saw William. He must have been pretty bad under XANA's control. After all, out of all the Warriors, he hated Aelita the most. "I think Aelita wants you." he told Odd. William stuffed his hand in his pockets and turned away so he wouldn't have to look at a traumatized Aelita.

Aah, good, he was waking up~. His grin did fade a touch as eye contact was made, but he did his best to maintain his usual expression, plopping down on the bench. “Just now, do you like it?” With that, he flipped on his game, instantly immersed. It was good that he had a distraction like this, honestly, because, well… William.
He didn’t have any animosity towards the other, not really. He hadn’t tried to be evil, and all that. So did he hate him, was he suspicious, all that? Nope! Odd didn’t think that he’d do that kind of stuff, well, ever, and it wasn’t his fault, but it was just… weird, now, to hang around him and stuff, considering how long they had been fighting him. Would he ever want the other to deal with Lyoko stuff again, if by some miracle, it happened? Nope. But should he try to get used to the other, in order to, y’know, not be rude and leave him out? Yeah, he should, hence his efforts here.
Even if it was just being completely sucked into a video game while sitting by him, it worked, if just a touch.
However, sucked into his game as he was, - leaping over this gap, op, dodge the fireballs! – Odd didn’t hear the voice calling him, at least, not until William pointed it out, speaking up, and the blond glanced upward absentmindedly, before he caught sight of her staring, just looking at him and oooh… Yeah, it looked like pausing his game was in order.
Doing just that, slipping it into his pocket as he stood up, Odd gave William a nod and a grin, easily drifting over to his friend. Damage control, looked like. Placing an hand on her arm, he pulled slightly, intending to turn her away from the former Warrior, and gave her an easy smile. “What’s up, Princess?”

Aelita's uneasy grimace didn't exactly fade when Odd picked himself up and trotted over to her. Nor when he reached for her shoulder and spun her away from William. The distraction attempts were obvious, and Aelita wasn't exactly enthralled or pleased with the development.
"The sky. That is the only thing above us Odd." She replied, dusting Odd's hand off of her. Her lips making themselves thinner and thinner. "I think the question is more... What's going on." She tilted her head slightly, giving William a cursory, backward glance. Debacle after debacle, that was what she had come to associate William with. Sure, he had been possessed by X.A.N.A. at the time. But sometimes, it was the face more than the actions that caused the few chills she always seemed to get when she found herself in his company.
Reasons why that didn't happen very often, of course.
"You're... Friends, with him now, Odd?" She knew the second the words left her mouth that they were unreasonable in nature, but she really couldn't help it. Could any freshman avoid drama? Her mind kept waffling and she couldn't really put her finger on any course of action to take.
Only another thing to make the atmosphere uncomfortable, she supposed.

William chuckled and shook his head. "You've done better, Odd." he told the boy honestly. He knew this wouldn't last for long. It never did. He started thinking about lunch. He wanted chili dogs. He hadn't had hot dogs in awhile, and they have been what he had been craving. Maybe it was because Zi was hungry that he kept thinking about food. He was still close with Zishan, and it was like they kind of had a mental bond. Similar brain waves or something like that. He was never really interested in all that science-y stuff.
William was not pleased with Aelita's behavior. It was unnecessary. It was not logical. It did not even make sense. If it had been Ulrich, Odd, or Yumi Aelita probably wouldn't be acting like this. She would have forgiven them quicker than she was forgiving him. William was now in a foul mood. Aelita's actions made him look like a bad person. Well, he wasn't. All that he wanted to do was help them, and now, he was hated by them all. She was the one dragging it out for too long. Before thinking anything through, William was up and storming over to Aelita and Odd. He was going to regret this. "You're... Friends, with him now, Odd?" was all that he needed to hear before he started yelling. "What if he is? Do you control who he calls friend and who he doesn't? What's your problem, Aelita?" he shouted. His fists were balled up at his sides. "How many times do I have to say sorry! Or does that just not cut it anymore for you?" he said glaring down at the girl.

He managed to keep his smile on, somehow. Confrontation was not something he was particularly a fan of, no, he much preferred just goofing off and messing around to dealing with... this. Still, he'd deal with it. "Well, poor ol'-" His looooong explanation, which had been planned to be riddled with jokes, hoping to diffuse the tension and all that, was abruptly cut short as the person in question was apparently fed up, marching over and interrupting with his own words.
Sure, be mad. Be angry. But don't yell at Odd's friends.
Eyes narrowing, Odd got between the two of them, standing on his tiptoes in his indignation and an attempt to get his angry gaze closer to William's. Tall people. Not fun, sometimes. "She was just asking!" Yes, yes, there was a heck of a lot more infused in that sentence than just asking, but hey, he'd take the literal way out, if he could. But honestly, William, he had known he was a hothead, but to start yelling at Aelita? Really? Don't do that! Or yell at any of them! Einstein, Ulrich, Yumes, nobody!
Something else to say, something else to say! "And, uh..." He faltered for a moment, trying to pick out the saying, before he shoved it aside, clearly not going to remember. "Do you really think acting like this is going to help? Don't yell at my friends!" For one, measured moment, the thought of kicking him in the shins featured prominently in his thoughts. He was really tempted, he really was, just to bring his leg back and kick him...
But no, darn it, that would escalate it way too much. Still. It was a super tempting thought, because you do not yell at the Oddster's friends.
