Oh man, oh man, not the best idea! Well, actually, it was a quite brilliant idea if he did say so himself, but waiting until the last minute... Well, that was the part that wasn't the best idea.
It was simple, really! He posted a note next to Nicholas and Herve's room, declaring it unfit for human occupancy (a quick google had given him an exact note to replicate), and then wrapped 'Caution' tape like a web around the doorframe, not allowing anyone to get out or in without first destroying the web. It was definitely a good prank, one that he was pleased with, but... Hiding around the corner and waiting for them to come out had not been the best idea.
After all, there was yelping, and crying like a little girl flailing, and all those kind of noises, and, of course, people came running. Just other kids would be okay, for sure, buuuut that happened to include a teacher. Jimbo, to be exact. And that was why Odd was currently sprinting down the hall, purple hood flapping behind him as his clunky red shoes set a fast pace. Needed to get away, find a safe place to wait out the storm, so once Jim started looking for him (he was one of the obvious culprits, after all), he wouldn't find him, couldn't pin it on him.
Okay, okay, far enough away that he could look for someplace to hide, err, he knew that person, they wouldn't hide him, oh, no, girls, oh darn this one was locked, next room and phew!
Quickly opening the door to the room of someone he didn't know, Odd darted in, slamming it shut behind him and closed his eyes, sagging against the door, exhaling in relief. Thank goodness... But... what was that smell? Pancakes? In a dorm?
Surprised, the boy opened golden eyes.

Nolan was in the middle of cooking some delicious, mouth-watering, CHOCOLATE CHIP, pancakes, when he heard quite a bit of commotion, and what sounded like some girls screaming. He decided to take a quick peek outside of his dorm, only a quick one, so the smell wouldn't escape his room. If he had been paying more attention, he would have noticed the legendary Odd running down the hallways, looking as if he had just committed murder and was being chased down by the cops. But of course he didn't, so he returned to his delectable pancakes that were just now beginning to brown on the other side. Nolan's mouth was beginning to water at the thought of his masterpieces, when he heard his door open. He jumped in surprise, since he was technically not allowed to have an electric griddle OR be cooking in his room, and he thought he had finally been caught. Needless to say, Nolan was more than relieved when he recognized Odd, although Odd probably wouldn't recognize Nolan. Everybody knew Odd, but Odd didn't know everyone, so this kind of situation must be normal for him. '
Well, not this specific one' Nolan thought to himself.
Anyway, despite Odd barging in, and scaring the crap out of Nolan, greeted the surprised boy. "Hey Odd, I'm Nolan." He said warmly, "Who did you piss off this time?"

Okaaaaaaay then. That was a bit... odd (he had to mentally snort at that one), that the other knew his name and he had no clue who the other was, but he supposed it was plausible, sure, okay... "Uh... Nicholas, Herve, and Jimbo if he catches me," the boy recited easily, used to such interrogation from his friends, but okaaaay this situation was a touch surreal. Weird, yes, quite weird, but ah well, he'd deal.
Stepping forward into the room, the younger (and shorter) of the two moved over to where Nolan was, eyes bright with curiosity and hunger, now that he appeared to be safe. "Are you making pancakes?" he had to ask, delighted. Chocolate chip pancakes, too! That's official, this guy was his new best friend, sorry Ulrich. He was coming in here every morning. "There's enough for two, riiiiiiiight?" Sure, sure, he was wheedling, but hey, chocolate chip pancakes.
He'd be sure to not eat them all, he really would. But if he was going to be awesome and let him have some (if he said no, he'd probably swipe some anyway, because that would just be utterly cruel not let him have any, not when he was dying of hunger over here!), then he was stopping in here every morning. Two breakfasts? No more nagging from Rosa about him eating too much, if he stopped in here, first, and Nolan would have the awesome pleasure of his company!
Win-Win situation, he felt. Guess hiding and then almost getting caught hadn't been such a bad idea after all~.

"D:" Was a very correct interpretation of Nolan's face when Odd asked for some of his .... Delicious.... Mouth watering... Chocolate Chip... Pancakes. "I, uh- I" He stuttered. He realized that no matter what his answer was, Odd would take some anyway. "I guess so..." He said, defeated. "But it's going to be a couple more minutes until they're done. and I'm almost out of pancake mix so you can't have too many..."
Nolan was disappointed by the fact that he would have to share some of his pancakes, but hey, it was Odd. You can't really say no to him. That, and making friends with Odd would make him a little more "cool". Not that Nolan was concerned about looking cool, but it definitely was a bonus. That and Odd was a generally funny and nice guy, might as well make friends with him.

"Okay!" came his quickly chirped reply, as Odd grinned brightly. Made sense! He would most certainly not want undercooked pancakes, those probably tasted gross, and if he was almost out, he couldn't snag them all... Okay, okay. Made sense. Even if he waaaaaanted them all, so good! They smelled super good, too, really yummy... Focus, Odd! Don't get distracted!
It was time to interrogate the victim.
"Do you make pancakes every morning, then? And you've never gotten caught?" Odd questioned, wanting to know whether it would be worthwhile to come back... If he did, great, yay! If he didn't... Well, today would be an awesome treat, then. And inspiration. Maybe he should sneak a griddle into his room, too... And the not getting caught was important, too. For one, it was impressive! He knew how hard it was to hide Kiwi from Jim, and while he was harder to hide than a griddle, still pretty hard!
So props to his fellow rule-breaker, for sure~. Especially if it got him a free breakfast every morning, another one! Yay for more food!
