PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:

Nolan is 5'11" and somewhat heavy looking for his age. Although people wouldn't exactly call him fat, he was more of a husky, leaning on overwheight. He has medium dark brown hair and almost-chocolate eyes. He has a somewhat bad case of acne, although it's starting to get better. He has broad shoulders, almost no muscle definition, and thick, powerful thighs. He generally just wears a nice pair of jeans and a blue decal shirt, but sometimes puts a polo shirt on just to mix things up. He walks confidently, and straightens his back whenever he notices he's slouching (It's a bad habit), and makes sure that his hair is in the normal, swept aside style that he has. His hair is fairly short, so he can't really style it too much. He could go for the front of his hair spiked upwards if it's short enough at the time.

PERSONALITY: Nolan is a somewhat outgoing guy who isn't afraid to stand up for what he believes in. He is incredibly left-brained but he can also get random bursts of creativity where he is compelled to start writimg a book, try to compose music, or attempt a drawing. Eventually he forgets about his project or he gives up on it. Nolan became interested in music when he was young, and absolutely fell in love with the cello, so he became a musician/ He can be a spaz sometimes, but is generally just in a good, light-hearted mood. He can be really sensitive to pretty much anything if a friend insults him, but generally just ignores criticism from people he doesn't care about. He tries to live a Christ-like life because of his religion and loves astro-physics and other subjects of science. He see's himself as an eccentric mini-genius and therefore is a little narcissistic.

He hates idiocy and ignorance, so he may seem like a jerk to bullies (people who pick on those smaller/inferior to them) and idiots, especially to idiotic bullies. He will go out of his way to point out the stupidity of his enemies, although this has gotten a couple of physical wounds by doing so. but this is not the case all the time. When he's with his friends, or simply people who he does not know yet, he is a very kind and thoughtful person, often times putting other people's needs before his own. He's also very socially awkward, although his friends tend to look over that, or are just as socially awkward and eccentric as him. His friends are generally as intelligent and eccentric as him.


STRENGTHS:

Very musically inclined: Nolan has been playing the cello since fourth grade, and has played the piano since sixth. He has a very good musical ear and can learn how to play an instrument (basic songs) within five days of picking it up, but it can take up to two weeks if the instrument is completely foreign to him. For some reason, Nolan can't play the violin, no matter how hard he tries.
Very likeable: Nolan has a happy disposition towards almost everything, and his social awkwardness is generally pretty funny. Not only that but his eccentricity is fun to be around.

Good at math: Nolan's logical mind is simply good at solving problems. Nolan is taking Algebra II

Good at science: This is Nolan's passion, other than music, and he loves learning anything scientific. He has dreams of "becoming the next Stephen Hawking" and is taking Chemistry and Physics during the same year (he dropped an elective).

Enjoys history: Nolan enjoys history, especially ancient history. Not only that, but he loves to learn the military strategies of ancient civilizations.

WEAKNESSES:

Not too much creativity (although he loves to read): Nolan loves to read, but anything involving creative writing is incredibly hard for him. He gets writing block almost all the time whenever he tries to write and is only good at writing informative essays.

Is too trusting: Nolan's happy disposition is easily taken advantage of and a lot of people have. Even though these things have happened, Nolan still trusts most people.

Can be very indecisive: When Nolan doesn't know the answer to a question, he will question his immediate answers and thoughts, making sudden, hard, decisions incredibly difficult.

Will sometimes go through bouts of depression and self doubt: Nolan's happy disposition will sometimes become a mask. Under that mask Nolan will be at war with himself. Were all those people right about him? Were his friends really his friends, or were they just taking advantage of him? These things sometimes go through his head, impeding his normal thought process. This is usually caused when he lets criticism get to him, or when he beats himself up for every little thing he does wrong. It may also be caused by him viewing everything he does as annoying to one person or another.

LYOKO: Nolan looks more fit in Lyoko than in real life and is wearing not too baggy robes (think kung fu monk) that is covered in staves filled with the notes of a nameless song. His weapon is a bass and treble clef string instrument that can send out concentrated sounds waves at the enemy that dissipate after travelling a somewhat short distance. Nolan has his trusty "treblebass" as he calls it that sends out short range projectiles of concentrated sound waves. The treblebass
is played, held, and has the basic looks of a guitar (strings are stretched over the length of the treble cleff), but sounds more like a lute.

Sound Wave: Nolan strums his treblebass and sends out a 2.5 meter shock wave in a 160 degree cone in front himself, knocking enemies down if they're in melee range of Nolan, or causing them to lose their footing for a split second if otherwise.

HISTORY: Nolan Ogan was raised in Bonn, Germany as a devout Mormon. Since he grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Nolan tries to live a Christ-like life. Even when the kids of his school would make jabs at his religion about polygamy and other things like that. Always questioning how it would be possible for Joseph Smith to find the Golden Plates.

Nolan has enjoyed being a member of the BSG (Boyscouts of Germany) since he was eight years old. Being a boyscout taught him many life skills, and not just outdoor skills. Cooking, packing, cinematography, and other useful bits of knowledge and skills. Not only has this helped Nolan through life, but it also gave him the opportunity to do service projects for people, and let him make friends with the people in his troop, some of his only friends for that matter.

His parents sent him from Bonn, Germany to France to get him away from the discrimination in German schools and to get him used to the French language and lifestyle because He would be spending most of his adult life there while his parents saved up enough money to move in with him. The only reason He was going to France in the first place, was because of something that happened during his Freshman year.

On the last day of school, Nolan saw one of his good friends getting beaten up in the locker bay after school by a senior. Almost everyone was gone, and everyone who cared WAS, except Nolan that is. Nolan didn't even have to think about it. He charged the senior, who had his back turned to Nolan, and he jumped on his back and wrapped his arms around his neck. Nolan yanked on the seniors neck, pulling his entire body back. The senior overcompensated and slammed into the other row of lockers, effectively squishing Nolan and making him lose his grip. His friend ran off, blood streaking from his forehead, but now the bullies focus was on Nolan. Needless to say, Nolan had the crap beaten out of him. When Nolan got home that day, his parents freaked out. They decided that it would be better for Nolan to leave. Kadic seemed like as good of an opportunity as any, so they sent him away with what little money they had. Nolan and his parents had planned on going to Kadic University after he served a mission anyway, so they sent him to Kadic High School to help him get accustomed to life in France and keep him out of Germany. Nolan was excited to experience everything different about France, even though he was leaving Germany on bad terms.

RP Sample: (Nolan finds a Kollossus in the Ice Sector and decides to try to indoctrinate it) Nolan blinked and rubbed his eyes to make sure he was seeing things right. "Mother of...." He said, not wanting to take the Lord's name in vain.

It was a Kolossus all right. He lifted his treblebass to a more playable position and began the song that would activate Sound Barrier. Nolan was going to play it safe, and decided he would try a Mind Strum on this behemoth of a monster. He focused on the ever nearing monster and blocked out the rest of the Ice Sector. He could feel what the Kolossus felt, what drove it, and he reached out to it. With smaller monsters like Kankerlauts, Nolan was able to play with their mind like putty, but for something like the Kollosus, he could barely influence a twitch of it's eyes.

He focused more on the monster, reaching farther into the mind of this beast. He put thoughts of doubt, of rebellion, and all other things that might slow the Kollosus down, but the fact-of-the matter was that it was simply too big of a task for Nolan to handle. He could spend a lifetime trying to indoctrinate this beast. As these thoughts ran through Nolan's head, he broke the Mind Strum connection. He was shocked to see the giant foot coming down on his head. It slowed briefly when it hit the Sound Barriers, but Nolan couldn't react fast enough. He had been devirtualized.
