ARTEMISIA CHERRY WILLIAMS
Time waits for no-one,
So do you want to waste some time alone tonight.
Don't be afraid of tomorrow,
Just take my hand,
I'll make it feel so much better tonight.

CHARACTER FILE
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
Artemisia is a shy person and usually has her head down and her eyes averted. However, to her friends she is chipper and bright. She has long blonde hair with bright blue eyes. Artemisia stands at 5'1 and weighs 120 lbs. Her clothes usually consist of comfortable skirts and blouses with nice shoes to match. The colors usually range from blue to silver and maybe even to black.
Artemisia's arms usually have a lot of books in them and are almost always locked around her upper chest. On her right wrist is a silver bracelet her parents gave her before she came to the school. There are two charms on the bracelet; one is that of a wolf howling at the moon and the other is that of an orchid.
Sometimes when Artemisia is caught off guard her face instantly freezes in a look of panic, like a deer caught in headlights. Her eyes will dart left and right to make sure that no one else is around, maybe she was wrong.
PERSONALITY: Artemisia Williams is what you would call a nerd. She is very studious and is often seen studying. Artemisia is somewhat vain, but she doesn't put much into her looks except maybe to primp her hair. This young woman is compassionate and cares deeply for others.
Artemisia is also a bit of a romantic. She reads anything with romance in it and wishes that some guy will come and sweep her off her feet. She's also a bit of a traditionalist, seeing the guy go to the girl. She loves anything to do with romance and fantasy and believes there is more to life than meets the eye.
This young girl doesn't like fighting. She's not very good at it, but she does know a bit to make sure she can defend herself. Artemisia will never EVER fight for the fun of it, only to defend. However, she does have sharp eyes and can notice things that others seem to miss.
Artemisia is a bit shy and doesn't make friends easily. However, this girl wants to fit in so bad that she will do anything to make friends. She will try and strike up a conversation, but thinks better of it before moving on. She might leave a note for someone she wants to befriend, but crumples it up afterwards thinking its stupid. One thing's for sure, she hopes she doesn't gain the attention of Sissi. No, that is not what Artemisia looks for in a friend.
To her close friends, the few she has, she becomes a little more talkative, but not by much. In fact, her shyness tends to make her a good friend because she can keep secrets. However, she will tell her friends that if they are doing something that is life threatening then she won't keep it a secret; i.e. Cutting their wrists, planning on killing another person, etc.
To those that Artemisia ISN'T close to she tends to keep to herself but will become a little scrappy if someone decides to try and bully her. This girl hates it when people treat her any differently then them. So what if she's shy and doesn't socialize with others? It doesn't mean she HAS to does it?
STRENGTHS: Artemisia is rather smart. She also knows a lot about animals, being an animal lover. Artemisia will give interesting facts about animals. Its how her love for them grows because she learns all about them. One sport that Artemisia is pretty good at is Soccer, or Football as the English call it. Her position, if she plays, is one of the Wing people.
WEAKNESSES: Artemisia is a shy girl. This makes it a little hard to make friends. Even though Artemisia is smart, she's kind of bad at science and math. Of course she is keeping well above the D level, but she still has a hard time with these subjects. She's more into English and History than Math and Science. She's tried goalie before in Soccer and wasn't very good at it, hence being a wing person, was better at making goals than blocking them. As for why she's not a good goalie, its because she has to stay in spot, mostly, and she itches for some action.
HISTORY: Artemisia was born to Alkippe and Jonathon Williams in Athens, Greece. They moved to England when she was two years old. For most of her life the girl was raised in a society that expected much of her. One thing that caught her attention were some French tourists visiting England on their honeymoon. Artemisia, who was seven at the time, expressed an interest in learning the language and the best tutor was brought in.
Artemisia grew up in the richer part of town, her father worked for some fancy business and was working overseas on their behalf, and her mother came from a family with old money. Artemisia was expected to behave like a proper lady, but she didn't want to. She wanted to learn and study and become less shy. She most certainly did not want to be somebody's plaything.
Artemisia loves her parents, but when they forced her to become a proper lady she rebelled. The young girl didn't want to be tied down doing something she didn't love or like. The thought of being forced to be a proper lady gave Artemisia the shivers. After that she and her parents were not on really good terms with each other even though she continued to love them. The girl tried to stay as far away from them as possible.
While Artemisia was in London she did make some friends while at school, but they soon drifted apart. The girl just couldn't be active enough to actually keep the friendship going, much to her dismay. Some of them had actually been dear to her. As for schooling, Artemisia had relatively good grades.
Whenever Artemisia was not studying in school she was at home caring for the family pets or learning French. At the age of ten Artemisia knew that her parents had been trying to get her a younger sibling, but they never could. Eventually they adopted a little girl named Fiona, who attached herself to Artemisia, much to Artemisia's dismay. She loved her adopted sister, but she could be a bit clingy at times. Then again Fiona was only four.
After another couple of years the Williams' family moved out of England and to France, a promotion for Jonathon, head of a company opening in France. There Artemisia was enrolled at Kadic Academy and the girl was allowed to stay in the dorms, permission from her parents. The girl had wanted to try and get out of the house for a bit and live "on her own." Of course she wouldn't be on her own, but on school grounds. It was another way of Artemisia showing responsibility. Her logic is that if she is staying on school grounds she wouldn't really have any excuses of being late to class.
Artemisia really wanted to stay at the dorms so she made a promise to her parents. If she could make ONE friend in a one month period while she was staying at the school then she would continue sleeping in the dorms. However, if the month ended without Artemisia having gained a single friend, true friend, not someone just so Artemisia can stay, then Artemisia moves back in with her parents and they drive her to school each morning.
Fiona was not yet old enough to attend. Artemisia is new to the school and does not know yet all the things that had happened there.
MISSION CONTROL
SCREENNAME: Shinska (or Shin)
Time spent roleplaying: 12ish years
Other Characters: N/A
RP Sample: Artemisia sat on a bench outside the school, nose in a book. The girl was just getting to a good part in the romance she was reading. Some people would say it's not something a girl her age should be reading, but it was either that or cause problems for those around her. Eventually everyone stopped hassling her on her reading choices.
There was a lot of activity around her, but Artemisia didn't really notice. As being someone shy by nature, it was hard for her to actually introduce herself to people. However, she wasn't the kind of person to be rude if someone started talking to her. Somehow Artemisia knew if someone truly wanted to be her friend, was just curious, or was just pretending to want to be her friend.
The girl finished the page she was on and glanced around. Lunch would start soon, hopefully, and Artemisia could get there early to grab something to eat. The meals weren't all that appetizing, but at least she could have something to eat. The poor girl usually sat alone at one of the empty tables and kept to herself, taking mental notes of those around her. There was a group of kids that she seemed drawn to, but never had the courage to introduce herself to them, hoping they would notice her (Odd and the gang).
