PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
Aelita is about 5'1 feet in height, and weighs about a hundred and ten pounds. She has natural, somewhat desaturated pink hair in a short, dandelion-type haircut. Her eyes are dark grey, to where they almost appear black. Aelita is relatively pale, and has a skinny, lanky build, compared with her height.

Aelita is more often seen than not, in a 'trademark outfit'. This includes a dark pink dress-like jumper worn over a pink hoodie with notable pom-poms dangling off the adjustment strings. She also wears pink knee-high boots with a white stripe down the center, white cuffs at the top, and grey soles.

The other outfit she is often seen in, is a button-up maroon dress. With a more purple-y maroon stripe going down the center, and pink buttons. There is a dress-shirt like collar, that is the more purple maroon color. The sleeves are rather long, reaching her wrists, and have a cuff stripe that is the darker maroon. With this outfit, she also wears light pink quarter length leggings.

Her nightclothes consist of a large, baggy pink t-shirt with a large letter A printed in red on the front. She wears this as a nightgown, sometimes with white socks. Though she is often seen walking about barefoot.

PERSONALITY:
Living in a computer generated world consistently for a very extended period of time, has certainly had it's effects. Aelita is quite naive. She is gullible, very quick to trust, and is easily manipulated or taken advantage of. She lets others' view of her impact her own self image more than is probably healthy. Despite this, she continues to mature, and has grown considerably thicker skin, compared to when she first established herself a life on Earth.

Aelita is notably kind and considerate, often going out of her way to make others feel comfortable. Her generosity is quite a feature as well- She obviously places the lives of others above her own, and is more than inclined to help anyone she finds that could use it.

But in contrast, she is highly stubborn. She rarely changes her opinions on things, once she has established her position. She can also get very absorbed in the things she loves. Such as her programming and track mixing.

Overall she's a relatively bland person personality-wise, save for parrot-speaking jokes heard from Odd, and getting very, very defensive when threatened. She's proud, and doesn't stoop to people's lows very often. Though she has been known to participate in some relatively devious activities. But as she lives for a longer time on Earth, and spends a lot more time socializing, her personality should start to take on a very distinct and unique flair!

STRENGTHS:
Aelita is very intelligent, and shows booksmart intelligence that exceeds her general age group. To this end, she is also very quick-witted. She can easily fabricate comebacks, excuses, and answers to problems. That and of course, being able to outsmart monsters on Lyoko with few issues. Due to the nature of her imprisonment in Lyoko, Aelita is also well versed in computers and programming, even if she is not as skilled as Jeremie. She is also capable of working certain functions of the supercomputer, such as timed virtualization in the absence of Jeremie.

Aelita has also displayed a healthy interest in music. Most likely stemming from her father's tendency to play a lot of piano music. Aelita's preferred genre is electronic music, with her favorite group being the Subdigitals. She has shown that she has great talent in being a DJ, and has opened a few concerts, and DJ-ed a school dance before.

WEAKNESSES:

Having lived most of her life in a computer, Aelita has little to no immunity or previous exposures to sickness. She's extremely prone to illness, and can be seen sniffling every so often, if just from congestion. From the same reasoning, she hasn't exactly grown very much either, still being quite short, even for her age. She has trouble reaching for things on particularly high shelves. She's also a bit weaker than most other kids physically, having built up no physical muscle mass while living on Lyoko. However, she is working to overcome this, and is by no means physically helpless, or failing gym.

Aelita also can't stand the cold very well. She often will start bundling up in heavier clothes at around the high 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Not very convenient, given the French climate. If there's anything worse than sharp, cold weather, it's a cold shower, too. She hopes that as she continues to live in the real world, her blood will thicken and this will become less of a problem. But as it stands… Gross, cold weather.

It should also be noted that when Lyoko is in any way damaged, she, like X.A.N.A., is physically affected and weakened.

LYOKO:

Appearance:
On Lyoko, Aelita has elvish looking ears. Her hair remains pretty much the same. Her eyes are a bright gold in color, and her lips seem to flush a light shade of pink. She wears a black jumpsuit with a skirt-like waist attachment, with pink accents. There are also two grey stripes that cover her upper torso, and her waist in a belt-like fashion. When she activates her wings, they are a translucent pink.

Offense:

Energy Fields -
After a program alteration by Jeremie, Aelita has the ability to conjure pink, electrically charged spheres at will, which she can launch at an enemy. They do not hit as fast as other attacks, but do not have to hit a monster's eye of X.A.N.A. to be effective.

Creativity -
Aelita has the power to create or alter structures and parts of Lyoko. This also can allow her to create invulnerable clones of herself. However, this power takes off of her life points, and therefore she is unable to consistently use it.

Second Sight -
Aelita possesses a 'second sight' while on Lyoko. She has the ability to see through any illusions X.A.N.A. has created. After some program alteration by Jeremie, her second sight is very powerful, and extremely helpful to the point where she can tell where X.A.N.A. is active on Lyoko at any time, and even has the means to tell what emotions X.A.N.A. is feeling.

Flight -
Thanks to programming by Jeremie, Aelita is able to activate a pair of wings by hovering her hand over a star-shaped bracelet. When flying, she has speeds close to Ulrich's super sprint, and has been shown to be able to carry one other person. However, if hit by an attack, her wings disappear.

Towers -
Aelita is the only person able to deactivate towers from X.A.N.A.'s control by entering Code: Lyoko. In contrary, she can also delete a sector by entering Code: Xana. She must be in a tower's control center to do this.

HISTORY:

Aelita was born to Franz and Anthea Schaeffer in France. She lived a rather happy childhood, with nothing especially notable occurring. Franz worked as a teacher, but also secretly kept repeating the same day over and over until Lyoko and X.A.N.A. were complete. Until of course, the men in black kidnapped Aelita's mother. After that, Franz became especially protective of Aelita, and when he learnt that the men in black had begun to pursue him as well, he took Aelita with him to Lyoko, which he thought to be 'a world without danger'. Before virtualization, he made sure to hide his journal in a locker, and kept the key inside Aelita's doll, Mr. Puck. He made sure that Aelita was to remember where this key was. After virtualizing themselves, it wasn't long until they discovered that the program X.A.N.A. had gone rogue, and planned to take over Lyoko. With no other options available, Franz shut down the computer from inside Lyoko. However, this gave X.A.N.A. the opportunity to imprison him, and send the schyphozoa after Aelita. However, the loss of her memories has been attributed to Franz's abrupt shutting down of the computer.

Years later, Jeremie Belpois stumbled upon the Supercomputer and the factory, while attending Kadic Academy. He activated the computer and discovered Aelita, who could not remember her name. Insisting on being called something other than artificial intelligence, Jeremie called her Maya. Upon entering a tower, she discovered her name was Aelita. However, she still believed she was an A.I. Because of this, she couldn't be devirtualized like everyone else, and remained tied to Lyoko.

After a lot of time and programming, and after solving several of X.A.N.A.'s attacks on Earth, Jeremie was able to create Code: Earth. This would allow Aelita to be devirtualized, by having her enter it in the tower. Eventually, she does get devirtualized, and establishes her life on Earth, by posing as Odd's cousin from Holland. She eventually enrolls in Kadic Academy, and has a dorm to herself.

However, after Jeremie turns off the computer, Aelita promptly loses consciousness. When she is brought to a doctor's office, it is shown she has no life signal whatsoever. From this, the Lyoko Warriors are able to assume that Aelita is part of Lyoko, and that the supercomputer cannot be shut off. It is later discovered that this is because she holds half of the keys to Lyoko deep in her memories. (Franz holding the other half.) Which kept her tied to Lyoko, and X.A.N.A. This being the reason X.A.N.A. sends the Schyphazoa after her.

Eventually, the Schyphazoa does allow X.A.N.A. to steal the keys to Lyoko, resulting in Aelita's temporary death. But Franz is able to restore Aelita, and gave her his half of the keys to Lyoko. With this, Aelita was able to devirtualize normally, and retain independence from the supercomputer.

But of course, the adventure didn't end there. She and the rest of the Lyoko Warriors had to deal with X.A.N.A.'s escape from the supercomputer, and the consequent deletion of sectors on Lyoko, and creation of Replikas. Jeremie was able to create a code that would destroy X.A.N.A., and Franz sacrificed himself to give Aelita the power to activate the code.

Once Lyoko was purged of X.A.N.A., Aelita had hesitations about turning off the supercomputer, and ending it all. After all, she had lived there for quite a long time! But she did go ahead and agree to shut down the computer, and lived as a normal student thereafter.

Tap, tap, tap, tap

Aelita went on with her relatively unconscious manner of tapping her pencil. Humming a bit as she did. Expected, as she was listening over a track she had just remixed. Scribbling down a few notes here and there in a notebook next to her about what exactly she needed to fix. "Increase the speed here... Extend that segment a little bit... Hm...". Aelita absolutely adored her hobby as a DJ, but it could certainly be a bit of a pickle at times!

Not that she didn't poise herself to power through. She needed this to be five minutes of quality ear candy! Besides, though it could become a little stressful at times, mixing was really fun! She did really love to do it too. It was her way of leaving a mark on this world. Something she was good at, and a unique talent!

"Aaaand done!" Aelita chirped in excitement. After hours and hours of poring over this project, her new track was finished! Just in time too! "Now to add this to a playlist... Rename this album... Aha! There's no way I won't be the DJ for the next school dance!"

Aelita was almost unable to control the slight giggle she began, as she closed her laptop, and leaned back in her chair, perfectly content. Her hard work would definitely pay off.
